Methods and limitations

We checked 47 candidate figures and kept 40. We excluded a secondary museum total that disagreed with the museum's own chronicle, an expired exhibition price, a promotional growth claim without a consistent base, a mine package price for the wrong route and three aircraft movement figures that added little to a visitor reference. Every retained figure comes from the named first publisher, the institution's own report or the tourism organisation's original regional dataset. This selection is not a complete census of Krakow tourism or prices.

Our contribution is a consistent, searchable 40-record reference and an eight-ticket fare comparison, with the original units, periods and source links preserved in two CSV downloads. The fare range and record counts are derived from that selected table; source-reported numbers remain separate. No visitor average or city-wide budget is inferred from ticket prices.

Source tags give the publication month and year where supplied, or the year of the dated tariff or UNESCO boundary record where no publication month is stated. The rail operator's growth figure retains its decimal comma: 15,1% means 15.1 percent. The city Forum release is a 2026 report of 2025; the older survey is labelled 2024 throughout. The museum chronicle covers 2024, while MNK's review covers 2025. Do not add institution totals, branch subsets, city survey estimates, airport movements and accommodation stays together.

The regional tourism report publishes attendance supplied for selected venues. It is not a footfall survey of every attraction in Krakow. We show its Wawel totals as reported, without assuming a counting precision or calculating a growth percentage. The statistical office's KT-1 accommodation coverage excludes establishments with fewer than ten bed places. Neither dataset establishes street-level crowds or waiting times.

Checked 16 October 2026. Next review: 16 January 2027, with fares rechecked sooner if an operator announces a change. Prices are dated references, not live booking quotes. Report a correction through our contact page, naming the figure and the official replacement source.
